The International Fair on Food for Science and Technology will return to the market from November 26-28, 2024, with expanded products and diversified sustainable approaches in its activities and industries. The Food Technology International Expo 2024, which takes place today in Bangladesh from 26 to 28 November 2024, provides an opportunity for many vertical markets to explore, access innovative technologies and solutions to network in the processing and packaging of thousands of brands and companies around the world. The Food Technology International Expo, with the theme "Processing and Packaging Sustainability for a Better World", will showcase advanced and innovative technologies and solutions in packaging and processing, covering a variety of vertical markets. They will be presented through a series of panel discussions, technical presentations, keynote speeches, and the latest product and technology presentations.

This sector currently employs about 2.2% of the country's workforce, nearly 70% of which is unskilled. Its share of total exports currently stands at about 1.5 per cent. Some researchers point out that the country has much greater potential to explore strengthening exports from this industry, which is reflected in their estimated comparative advantage.
